School year 2018-2019: More 30,000 students at all levels (projected)

According to provincial Department of Education and Training, it was projected that in the new school year 2018-2019, the province would have more over 30,000 students in public schools and could increase more in reality. The increase would occur mainly in kindergartens and primary schools, in localities: Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An Town, Di An Town, and Tan Uyen Town. For localities with increasing numbers of students, priority will be given to public school’s students with permanent/temporary residence registration of more than 6 months. Newly registering students would be admitted, if there were available positions in their area; or else Education and Training Offices would transfer students to neighboring areas to ensure their study, night classes would not happen.

To solve the increase of student number, provincial Education and Training is rapidly completing and putting 13 new schools with 194 classrooms into use. In addition, the sector continues to promote the socialization of education, especially in pre-school education.
