Scientific seminar on life and career of Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac

Morning Nov 29th, at Hoi Khanh Pagoda (TDM City), Provincial Science History Association in collaboration with Provincial Buddhist Sangha held a seminar on the life and career of Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac, who is father of President Ho Chi Minh, on occasion of his 86th death anniversary.

Attendants were Pham Van Canh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Ngoc Dang, Deputy Head of Provincial NA’s delegation, Chairman of Provincial Science History Association; superior Buddhist monk Thich Thien Nhon, President of Executive Committee of Vietnam Central Buddhist Sangha, and others members; former provincial leaders; leaders of departments, agencies in the province; Executive Boards of Buddhist Association of others provinces; universities; researchers; leaders of districts, towns, city, and monks, nuns, Buddhists.

The seminar aimed to clarify life, career and personality of Nguyen Sinh Sac, a patriotic intellectual who was credited with the education and training personalities, talent and virtues of President Ho Chi Minh. The seminar also clarified the relation between the great grandfather and southern Buddhism and Buddhist reform movement in the first half of the 20th century. The main contents included: biography, life and career of the Junior Doctor; Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac with southern compatriots; Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac with Hoi Khanh Pagoda and Patriotic Honor Association; Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac and southern Buddhism...

Speaking at the seminar, Pham Van Canh said that the seminar was a practical, meaningful action to honor great contributions of Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac to the nation, and to educate future generation on patriotic tradition. The seminar was an opportunity to clarify the great personality and contributions of the great grandfather to revive Buddhism, national liberation cause... On the same day, delegates also attended the 86th death anniversary of Junior Doctor Nguyen Sinh Sac.
