Social housing construction, a good way of Binh Duong

Binh Duong has so far implemented 82 social housing projects with total floor area of nearly 3.7 million square meters, supplying accommodations for more than 600,000 people. Of these, more than 3 million square meters of floor area, equivalent to 183,289 lodging-houses were invested by households, supplying accommodations for 543.777 workers and low-income earners. 

In general, the province’s social housing projects have almost met laborers’ demand for accommodation. Around 200 enterprises in the province have also got involved in building social housing areas with total floor area of 269,982 square meters, supplying accommodations for around 46,974 people. Noticeably, Becamex IDC has worked out 22 social housing projects, mainly in TDM city, Thuan An town, Ben Cat town and Bau Bang district, with total floor area of 429,205 square meters at 36,860 people’s demand for accommodation.

Each apartment under Becamex IDC’s social housing projects covers 30 square meters and is sold at between VD100 and VND150million. Home buyers only need to make a down payment of 20% of total value and the remainder will be divided into low monthly installment payment of VND1million-VND2million. This is a good way of Binh Duong acknowledged and praised by ministries and sectors.
