Spring overwhelms magnanimous deeds

Pham Minh Ngoc’s family in Tan Hoa hamlet, Tan Vinh Hiep commune, Tan Uyen district is one of 22 young families enjoying a new house built by the provincial Youth Federation in 2012.

Despite his poor circumstance, Ngoc always join positively in local youth union’s movements. Recognizing his efforts, “Charity house” program in April, 2012 granted a new house to his family. Ngoc’s mother, Le Thi Det, said “Since receiving the new house, our family has enjoyed a stable life. We will welcome the Lunar New Year 2013 in this new house. We are very grateful to local authority and donors for their supports”.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Lan and her daughter in Thanh Phu quarter, An Thanh ward, Thuan An town have enjoyed a new house. Earlier, she and her daughter lived in a dilapidated house. In addition, her joy is multiplied because her daughter passed the university entrance exam.

In the past year the province administration spent VND167bil from the State budget and mobilized source to help poor people, built 270 hi-unity houses for poor households.

Moreover, the province earmarked VND226bil for assisting contributors, newly building 68 gratitude houses and repairing 207 gratitude ones as well as cooperated with the provincial Fatherland Front Committee to grant essential equipments to privileged families.         

As of the end of 2012, the entire province had more than 2,800 households escaping poverty.
