Stay at home for yourself

Update: 20-07-2021 | 15:05:10

From 0:00 on July 19, the whole province has officially implemented social distancing under the  Prime Minister’s Directive No. 16 with the principle of isolation between family and family, group and group, quarter and quarter, hamlet to hamlet, ward to ward and district to district. All people must stay at home, and should only go out in case of extreme necessity such as buying food, foodstuff and medicine; emergencies; working at factories, production establishments, facilities trading in essential services and goods that still operate on the principle of "1 road, 2 places". And since 0:00 on July 19, checkpoints in residential areas across the province have also simultaneously operated to limit going out from people.

After these checkpoints have operated, the number of people going out on the first day of social distancing in the whole province decreased significantly. On the first day of implementing social distancing across the province, streets were empty. All shops were closed, and everyone stayed at home. This shows the determination of the local government and the consensus of the people on the implementation of the Directive No.16 in order to fight the pandemic that is showing signs of spreading.

The Directive No. 16 was implemented by Binh Duong in 7 out 9 districts, towns and cities previously. However, during this time, people still travelled because the province did not implement social distancing at the same time. Although the local authorities at all levels took action, they did not stop all cases of people traveling when being not necessary. The difference of social distancing under Directive No. 16 across the province this time is to strictly follow the spirit of the directive. During the social distancing period across the province under the Directive No. 16, all people must stay at home, and should only go out in case of extreme necessity such as buying food, foodstuff and medicine; emergencies; working at factories, production establishments, facilities trading in essential services and goods that still operate on the principle of "1 road, 2 places”.

The purpose of implementing social distancing throughout the province is to prevent the spread of Covid-19 pandemic on a large scale. In the 4th wave of the pandemic alone, the country has so far recorded over 54,300 cases of Covid-19, including more than 3,100 cases in Binh Duong. The epidemic is not only occurred in a few of companies, factories and residential areas, but it is showing signs of spreading to many companies and factories with a large number of workers and many localities throughout the province. All districts, towns and cities in the province have recorded Covid-19 cases. With the rapid spread of the pandemic, the implementation of social distancing is one of urgent measures to prevent the pandemic when medical resources are still limited.

Stay at home for yourself is the message we want to send to all people at this time. Reducing a person on street if unnecessarily is to reduce a risk of spreading germs; reduce the hardship of medical workers on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic. Let's not talk about the benefits of public health, staying at home at this time is for your own health, helping your family reduce the fear of getting sick and spreading the pandemic in family. Each pandemic-free family will contribute to helping the community get free from the pandemic. Thus, the pandemic will be checked quickly.
