Update: 16-09-2024 | 11:47:21

On September 15, provincial Party Committee Office issued the Official Document No. 4356-CV/VPTU to units and localities, urging them to strengthen their directives in incident response, search and rescue operations, due to the impact of natural disasters.

According to the document, in the face of  the unpredictable developments of the 2024 storm season, especially the heavy rains in recent days that have caused losses of life and property in the province, provincial Party Committee Secretary has requested provincial People's Committee Party Affairs Committee, the Secretaries and Chairpersons of the People's Committees in districts and cities to urgently implement several key tasks.

Specifically, they must continue strictly implementing provincial Party Standing Committee’s Official Document No. 2069-CV/TU dated September 1, 2024, and Official Document No. 2074-CV/TU dated September 5, 2024 on urgently deploying proactive measures to respond to storms and floods in the province. Local authorities are directed to quickly mobilize functional forces and construction units to dredge and clear water flow at drainage points, culverts, canals, ditches, streams, ponds and lakes…

They are also required to assign teams to regulate traffic flow, set up warning signs and barriers at construction sites, and areas prone to flooding or fast-flowing water during heavy storms. Plans must be made to secure trees, electrical poles, telecommunications poles, and billboards to prevent them from falling and causing accidents, damaging homes, vehicles, or surrounding structures. They should prepare adequate manpower and resources to proactively respond to any incidents, ensuring absolute safety, preventing losses of life and property, due to natural disasters.
