Early July 26, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a meeting to mark the 75th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022). The event was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo member, former President; Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee and provincial leaders over periods, heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolutionary veterans, heroes of people’s armed forces, policy beneficiary families and leaders of departments, agencies and localities.
Taking good care of revolutionary contributors
At the meeting, Mr. Minh gave a speech to review the heroic tradition of the nation, showing the respect and gratitude of Binh Duong province’s Party, government and people to great contributions by heroes and martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, heroic Vietnamese mothers and families of revolutionary contributors to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense.

The whole province currently has over 64,000 revolutionary contributors, including 2,219 heroic Vietnamese mothers (30 of whom are still alive), 16,833 martyrs, 6,208 wounded and sick soldiers of all grades, and 864 resistance activists imprisoned by the enemy…It is known that the province provides the monthly allowance of over VND 13.3 billion for 7,447 subjects. In addition to central policies, the province has issued a number of policies to further support revolutionary contributors from the local State budget.
Every year, the province pays gift visits to policy beneficiaries on the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival, Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27) with hundreds of billions of dong; gives free medical treatment for heroic Vietnamese mothers, seriously injured soldiers under the middle and high regime; mobilizes organizations and individuals to receive life-long support for all heroic Vietnamese mothers who are still alive; organize general health check-ups for all subjects who are revolutionary contributors; gives gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, seriously injured soldiers from socialization sources; regularly pays attention to building and upgrading gratitude houses for policy beneficiaries in need of housing to ensure that all policy beneficiaries in the province have well-built houses.
Cultivating more heroic traditions of the nation
Mr.Minh emphasized that on the annual Invalids and Martyrs Day (27-27). 7), the entire Party, people and army have organized many practical activities demonstrating the continuation of the tradition of "filial piety and charity", the respect and gratitude of the Party, State and people to those who have sacrificed and devoted themselves for national independence, freedom and reunification, for the happiness of the people; thereby promoting patriotism, consolidating and fostering faith in the revolutionary cause chosen by the Party, Uncle Ho and people.

Upholding the moral tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", over the past 45 years, the Party, army and people of Song Be province (now Binh Duong) always considered finding and collecting the remains of martyrs as an important and regular task; regularly embellished, upgraded the local system of martyrs cemeteries, worthy of being revolutionary traditional cultural works with high educational value. The province also regularly searched, collected and brought the remains of martyrs to the local martyr cemeteries...
He requested all-level authorities, sectors, agencies, units, businesses and people in the province to continue strongly promoting the tradition of "when drinking water, remember its source", "paying debt of gratitude"; promote the task of taking care of the spiritual and material lives of policy beneficiary families by the most practical and concrete activities worthy of Uncle Ho's advice : “Invalids, sick soldiers and families of martyrs are revolutionary contributors, so our duty is to be grateful, to love and to help them”. That is the deep gratitude of the compatriots, soldiers and people for the great merits of heroes, martyrs, war invalids and revolutionary contributors.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs presented the certificates of merit to 13 collectives and 16 individuals. Provincial People's Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 34 collectives and 78 individuals who made many contributions in the work of war invalids and martyrs and the "paying debt of gratitude" movement in the province over the past time.
*Earlier in the morning of the same day, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to visit and offer incense at provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery. In the solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates laid wreaths, offered incense and spent a minute of silence in memory of heroes and martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for national independence and reunification. In the evening of the same day, there was also a candle-lighting program to pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at provincial Martyrs ‘Cemetery.
