Student of Trinh Hoai Duc Senior High School in Binh Duong province topped the competence evaluation of Ho Chi Minh city University

Ho Chi Minh city National University has officially announced the scores of the first round of competency assessment of more than 88,000 high school candidates.

According to the Center for Examination and Evaluation of Training Quality under Ho Chi Minh city National University, the average score achieved by candidates is 639.2 points. The candidate with the highest test score is 1,091 points and the lowest 238 points. The valedictorian of the competency assessment exam belongs to Nguyen Le My An, a student of Class 12A7 of Trinh Hoai Duc Senior High School (Thuan An City, Binh Duong), with 1,091/1200 points.

Talking to reporters, teacher Quach Duc Thinh - Principal of Trinh Hoai Duc Senior High School, said that the school had just received the notice that Nguyen Le My An had achieved the highest score in the recent competency assessment exam, which is a great joy for the school as well as My An's family. The first round of competency assessment at Trinh Hoai Duc Senior High School was attended by 100% of 12th graders. Besides My An, the school has another student with a high score of 1,049 out of 1,200 points. The result will be the motivation for teachers and students of the school to continue to strive to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

The 1st Ho Chi Minh city National University competency assessment exam was held on March 26 with 47 test clusters and 86 test scores with more than 88,000 candidates participating in 21 localities. Candidates can use the test scores of the Ho Chi Minh city National University to apply for admission to 91 universities and colleges across the country.

Candidates can check their scores on http://thinangluc.vnuhcm.edu.vn. It is expected that, from April 14, the certificate of test results will be sent to candidates by post at the contact address that the candidates have previously registered. After announcing the test scores, from April 5 to April 28, Ho Chi Minh city National University started to open an online portal for candidates to register for the second round of exams to take place on May 28 in 4 provinces and cities including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, An Giang. Candidates can take both exams, whichever is higher will be used for admission to universities and colleges.
