Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s Youth Union has just held a delegation to visit General Vo Nguyen Giap’s tomb  in the Vung Chua-Dao Yen island area, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province to celebrate the 69th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944-December 22, 2013),

On this occasion, TDM city’s Youth Union held an exchange, presented 2 laptops worth VND30mln to soldiers at Border Post 184 in Quang Trach district’s Quang Dong commune; awarded 20 scholarships worth VND500,000 each to poor-but-excellent pupils; donated VND5mln in cash to 5 Agent Orange victims and 500 notebooks to other needy pupils. Nguyen Dinh Chieu high school in TDM city also donated VND2.5mln in cash to poor pupils in Quang Dong commune.

It is known that the total expense of the above gifts was extracted from the fund of the first movement “One-day salary for national border areas-Dat Thu’s youth for national sea launched by TDM city’s Youth Union Standing Committee since early this year.
