Thanh Phuoc Port to be officially put into operation on May 9

Nguyen Hoang Minh, General Director of Thanh Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company said that Thanh Phuoc Port of phase 1 in Tan Uyen district will be officially put into operation on May 9 ahead.

The port’s construction site covers 63 hectares, comprising 16 wharves with a total investment capital of VND1450 billion ($76.31 million). The port is able to accommodate ships and barges of 1,000-2,000dwt. It is constructed to international standards, of the third generation in conformity with modern international port system regulations, and the port project is divided into two phases. 

Once operational, Thanh Phuoc Port will facilitate the cargo transport of enterprises in Binh Duong

The port of phase I has a building area of 25 hectares with a total investment capital of VND780 billion ($41.05 million) comprising eight wharves, roads, storage facilities and cargo handling equipment. Investment time is from 2010 to 2014.

Thanh Phuoc Port’s phase II has a total construction area of 28 hectares comprising 8  wharves, a waste water treatment system and other auxiliary facilities at a total cost of VND610 billion ($32.1 million). Construction time is from 2014 to 2018.
