The sixth session of the provincial People’s Council term VIII will take place from Dec.8 to 12, 2012. This is an important session with main contents that need to be considered and solved. Many petitions raised by voters in the province will be reported at the session and they will also receive direct answers from leaders of some sectors. Mai Thi Dung, permanent member of provincial People’s Council said that the Q&A session will be innovated during the meeting this time.
What are the key contents of the 6th session of the provincial People’s Council term VIII?
The 6th session of the provincial people’s council term VIII is a periodic meeting as stated by the law. At the session this time, the people’s council will assess and appraise the results of implementation of economic-social, national security and defense status of 2012 and supplement some solutions to fulfill the set forth economic and social, national security and defense goals for 2013; deal with some major issues; listen to the Standing people’s council summarizing the collective report on voter’s opinion and inquiries prior to the session; listen to the provincial Fatherland Front committee’s announcement about government building and related procedures and opinions; review operation report of the people’s council and its inclusive departments, the provincial people’s committee, reports from the Civil court, the People Procuracy and observe the answering of questions.

Also at the session, provincial People’s Council will approve some policies for athletes in the province; the adjustment on administrative area of Ben Cat district and establishment of new administrative units, including Ben Cat town and Bau Bang district, Tan Uyen town and Tan Thanh district; the project of turning TDM city’s three communes of Chanh My, Tuong Binh Hiep and Tan An into wards…The session will supplement members to economic budget, socio-cultural boards of the provincial People’s Council.
What are the most concerned problems by voters at the session this time. How will they be solved?
Before the session this time, provincial Standing Committee of the People’s Council coordinated with the Standing Committees of Fatherland Front of districts, towns and city to organize meetings with voters in 62 places from Oct.31 to Nov.8, 2012. The local voter’s petitions were known on environmental pollution, traffic safety, urban planning, waterlogging, site clearance and compensation…and among others.
It is scheduled that provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Education and Training will take part in the Q&A session of the 6th meetings of the provincial People’s Council term VIII.
What are the key contents of the Q&A session at the meeting this time?
At the Q&A session, provincial People’s Council will focus on measures to help enterprises deal with their stock; measures to prevent fake and poor-quality commodities; State administration for enterprises getting involved in the field of harmful waste treatment; measures to remove production establishments that cause environmental pollution from residential estates; measures to deal with the overload of pupils in primary schools and kindergartens; the quality of public healthcare…
In addition to three directors of the above departments, leaders of other departments and units will be responsible for answering questions relating to their departments and units at the Q&A session.
