The opening of Binh Duong Provincial 5-year’s Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition (2010-2015)

On Oct 25^th, Provincial Organizing Committee of big festivals opened Binh Duong Provincial 5-year’s Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition (2010-2015). Nguyen Tan Quyen, Member of Central Party Committee cum Deputy Chief of Central Inspection Commission; Mai The Trung, Member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of Provincial NA’s delegation; Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Huynh Van Nhi, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and former provincial leaders attended the ceremony.

With the theme of "Innovation, Integration and Development", the opening ceremony of Provincial 5-year’s Socio-Economic Achievements Exhibition (2010-2015) took place in a solemn atmosphere with cultural performances, opening speech, cut the opening ribbon of provincial leaders. Provincial leaders then visited exhibition booths of units, enterprises in and outside the province. The exhibition consisted of 300 booths including: achievements exhibition (150 booths of provincial departments, agencies, unions, districts and towns, city and enterprises); trade fair (150 booths of businesses in and outside the province). The exhibition is opened from 25^th to 30^th Oct at Lucky Square Convention - Events Center in Binh Duong New City.

At the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Chief of Provincial Organizing Committee of big festivals, asserted the exhibition introduced the development of the province in the last 5 years. These achievements came from the dynamic leadership, effective direction of provincial Party and government; continuous efforts of the whole Party, army and all classes of people in the province; especially, accurate, timely direction of the Central Party Committee and the Government to create the most favorable conditions for Binh Duong province to grow strongly, sustainably.

On the first day of opening, a large number of people visited the exhibition. The exhibition area of departments, agencies, unions, localities welcomed the most visitors. In addition to selected information, photos, each locality also displayed their specific products to show the locality’s strengths. All gathered here to make up the overall picture to confirm that Binh Duong grew robustly in all fields. For example, Ben Cat town booth displayed 70 photographs of the town's achievements in the last 5 years; Tan Du victory stele, Convention – Square Center miniature; Di An town exhibited images, items of the town’s achievements, Di An publications in the past and at present; music CDs about Di An…

Nguyen Van Ngoc living in Hoa Phu ward, TDM City said: “Now I can eye the growth of our province. This exhibition is like a miniature map of the province, all fields from economics, politics, culture, society, defense – security have their own features. We will love our hometown more and be happy to see these results”.

In addition, 150 booths of businesses under typical industries in and outside the province also took part and displayed their products at the event. This activity was to respond to the campaign “Vietnamese people give priority to Vietnamese goods” launched by the Politburo. In addition, there were art and cultural performances every night to serve visitors. “I go to work all day, and visit this fair to buy some products for my family in the evening. We hope that provincial Party would continue to direct, bring more Vietnamese goods to remote areas in order for rural people to use domestic gods”, said Le My Hien, worker of Foster Electronics Company (VSIP III).

Mr. Liem said, with diverse activities, the exhibition – fair would be an ideal destination for the people on the occasion of provincial congress; thereby, to introduce people to a dynamic, developing Binh Duong, and efforts of departments, agencies, unions, enterprises in the implementation of tasks.
