Thuan An attaches special importance to models on urban agriculture

In 2014, Thuan An town’s agricultural production value was estimated at VND76bln or 98.8% of the yearly plan.

The People’s Committee of the town implemented a lot of policies to support special orchards under the Decision No.45 issued by provincial People’s Committee with a total expense of VND4.267bln; held a ceremony to announce the “Lai Thieu mangosteen” collective brand name…Currently, the whole town has a total of 143 farming households getting involved in the model of urban agriculture in the 2013-2015 period and orientations till 2020 with a total area of more than 17 hectares.

In the coming time, Thuan An town will attach special importance to promoting models on urban agriculture in line with the process of the local urban development such as those of planting safe vegetables, breeding pigeons, eals…
