Between 2006 and 2010, Thuan An district’s Society for Former Young Volunteer Soldiers has worked very effectively with a total of 37 members.
Society head Tran Van Phuong said that the society over time made efforts during the operation process. Particularly, the society assisted its members to enjoy the State’s policies, mobilizing support funds to help needy members...There were 21 members enjoying the State’s policies last year.
The society also took good care for members with difficult circumstances. It donated 81 gifts to members; regularly visited and presented gifts to sick members; organized visits to Ben Duoc temple in HCM city’s Cu Chi district, Phu Loi prison for members, helping them review their memories during the resistance against invaders and have the chance to exchange with their comrades.
Noticeably, the society mobilized its members to actively get involved in activities of mass organizations. All its members also got standards in the campaign “The entire people consolidate to build cultured lifestyle in residential areas”, contributing to mobilizing the local people to carry out the campaign. Apartedly, they got involved in preventing social evils, negative actions, corruption and ensuring political security, contributing to protecting the local political system.
According to Mr.Phuong, the society will promote the emulation movement of “Former young volunteer soldiers set good examples according to late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” among its members in the coming time. The society will also gather and unite former young volunteer soldiers for better development; take part in patriotic emulation movements, especially respond to the campaign “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” with this year’s theme focusing on building Party organization…
