Thuan An offers gifts to AO/dioxin victims

On August 8, a delegation of Thuan An city’s leaders, led by Nguyen Thi Hien, Vice-Chairman of the city’s People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to the local Agent Orange (AO)/dioxin victims on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of AO disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2023) and Vietnam Day for Victims of AO/dioxin (August 10).

Accordingly, the delegation visited and donated gifts to 6 victims, namely Nguyen Duc Tuong, Bui Quy Mui, Nguyen Ngoc Khoanh, Dang Phi Hung, Nguyen Van Chanh and Hoang Van Tiem. Each person was given VND 500,000 together with necessities worth VND 350,000.

In the visiting places, members of the delegation extended best regards to these families while encouraging them to try to overcome difficulties and strive to rise up. Leaders of the city also suggested localities to pay more attention to AO/dioxin victims in order to contribute to alleviating the pain of Agent Orange that families are suffering.
