Thuan An spends over VND1bln on sci-tech projects

In 2014, Thuan An town’s Council for Science and Technology in collaboration with the People’s Committees of communes, wards, the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology, the Research Center of Science and Technology carried out subjects on scientific research that could be well applied in the locality.

Particularly, the town’s Council for Science and Technology implemented a subject on “Building, managing and developing the Lai Thieu mangosteen collective brand name” with a total expense of more than VND167mln; successfully realized a project on “Food safety at primary schools and kindergartens” with a total expense of more than VND286mln. The council also succeeded in researching a safe vegetable-planting area by the method of water cultivate with a total expense of more than VND615mln.

Besides, the council applied some sci-tech advancements into control over birth, marriage and death records as well as animal husbandry and cultivation.
