Thuan An town takes good care of young workers’ livelihood

Possibly speaking, Thuan An town’s 5th Week for Young Workers has contributed to take care of young workers’ spiritual and material lives, making them have a long-term attachment with Thuan An, the industrial land full of flexibility.

Starting Thuan An town’s 5th Week for Young Workers was the program to give vocational consultancy and training for young workers, provide them with free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts.

The town’s Youth Union also teamed up with relevant agencies to open 4 computer classes for 344 young workers, helping them raise their knowledge on information technology.

Apartedly, the town’s Youth Union joined hands with the town’s Health Center to give consultancy on reproductive health for young workers; sped up dissemination of information about the Law on Labor, the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence and family planning among them.

Especially, the program of “More delicious, more nutritious” held by Nestle absorbed the participation of many young workers. Attending the program, young workers were wholeheartedly guided how to sort out different kinds of foods and  process them.

The program also presented 515 gifts to young workers, encouraging them overcome difficulties to stabilize their lives and work actively.

Under the project of “Gathering young workers in Binh Duong in the 2011 and 2015 period, the town’s Youth Union has so far set up additional 9 sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities and 1 sub-union for alien youths, bringing the total number of such sub-unions to 21 with 1,132 members.

These sub-unions have frequently created useful playgrounds for young workers and made the law dissemination among them. So far, the local Youth Union and its affiliates have also mobilized 42 lodging facilities to register for reducing costs on accommodation, water, power…for young workers with a total money of VND95mln.

Many cultural-sports activities were also organized for young workers over the past time, contributing to improving their spiritual lives. Last year, 86 workers of the whole town were honored for their outstanding initiatives in production.

To Luong Minh Tan, secretary of the town’s Youth Union, taking care of young workers’ spiritual and material lives is a necessary task, absorbing attention of the whole society. The activities of the town’s Youth Union have also contributed to taking care of young workers’ livelihood…
