Over the past time, provincial Youth Federation got involved in a lot of movements to raise political awareness among Youth Union members, including the program “When the nation needs” towards national sea and islands.

Gathering and unitizing youth promoted

Since early 2013, provincial Youth Federation and its affiliates have effectively executed their task of gathering and unitizing youth. One of provincial Youth Union’s first highlights was the exchange program with cadres under the 2013 provincial Project of “Gathering and unitizing youth”. With the participation of 270 cadres, the program presented 10 gifts worth VND300,000 each and 1,750 others to Youth Union secretaries and heads of sub-unions for young workers  with total expense of VND525mln.

Provincial Youth Federation has also taken initiative in coordinating with units and enterprises to take care of the spiritual and material lives of young workers, especially those who were unable to return home for Tet. For example, Dau Tieng district’s Youth Federation in collaboration with the district’s Military Command visited and presented 25 gifts to soldiers who have completed their military service. Dau Tieng district’s Youth Federation also teamed up with the district’s Center for Culture and Sports to kick off a  “banh chung, banh tet” (traditional sticky rice cake) making contest, a “lion-unicorn-dragon” dancing contest, a signing contest. Such these apart, there were many activities supporting young workers who could not afford to return home for Tet.

Moreover, provincial Youth Federation in collaboration with provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association donated 3 houses of compassion to needy families in Di An town and Tan Uyen district. In response to the 2013 provincial Week for Young Workers, provincial Federation Union teamed up with relevant agencies to provide free medical check-ups, medicine and 200 gifts for young workers with difficulties; organize variety shows for young workers at province-based industrial parks and compounds…

“When the nation needs”

Over the past time, provincial Youth Federation and its affiliates sped up dissemination of information about “The youth journey for national sea and islands” in order to help members to know more about national sovereignty over islands and sea. They also visited and presented gifts to units twinned with them; mobilized members to raise money for the Fund of “Sentimental attachment to border and island areas, towards Truong Sa archipelago” under the campaign of “For sentimental attachment to sea and islands”.

In addition, Thuan An town’s Youth Federation visited and presented a youth work “For Sentimental attachment to border and island areas” to the Border Post 783 in Bu Gia Map district’s Dac O commune in Binh Phuoc province with total expense of VND14mln. Di An town’s Youth Federation on the occasion of the 2013 Tet holiday visited, presented gifts worth VND50mln while extending Tet greetings to soldiers at the Dac Ka Border Post in Binh Phuoc province. The Youth Federations of Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, Ben Cat districts and Di An town also teamed up with the local Military Commands to organize many significant activities to encourage new recruits to well realize their military service.

Possibly speaking, the province over time made more efforts in taking care of the spiritual and material lives of the local Youth Union members in particular and making practical contributions towards national sea and islands in general.
