Town marks 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs

TDM town, on July 27, held a get-together to mark the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs, in attendance of 165 policy beneficiaries.

At the get-together, policy beneficiaries reviewed the tradition and meaning of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day. The town People’s Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 5 collectives for their contributions to the local Gratitude Fund and 11 outstanding policy beneficiary individuals and families in 2010.

The whole town is now home to 2,992 policy beneficiaries, including 8 Vietnamese heroic mothers. Thanks to the local authorities’ attention and help, policy beneficiaries herein have secured a stable life with the average income of VND963,000mln per capita per month…

*Tan Uyen district’s Party, government and people, on July 27, laid a wreath at the district’s  Martyrs’ Cemetery.

On this occasion, Tan Uyen district also held a solemn memorial service to rebury 3 sets of remains of martyrs at its Martyrs’ Cemetery.
