With achievements in industrial development, North Tan Uyen district has made efforts in trade-service development at the local demand for socio-economic development.

Trade-service on sharp growth

Over the past time, North Tan Uyen district’s economy reached stable development. The district’s economic structure was shifted in the right direction with industrial, trade-service and agricultural development. The district’s industrial development has made the local image get more spacious and is also the premise for the local socio-economic development.

A glance of KBS Industrial Park

The district’s industrial production value in the first three months of 2020 was VND994billion, up 9.35% compared to the same period last year. The district’s agricultural production value was VND525billion, up 3.74% against the corresponding period while total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was VND687billion, up 9.74% over the same period last year…

The district’s trade-service activities have got more and more stable. District-based markets have always had adequate supply of goods with diversification in pattern and high quality at the local people’s demand for consumption. The district’s functional agencies have also strengthened inspection on the local trade-service activities. Tran Thi Minh Hanh, Vice-Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district’s People’s Committee said that thanks to strategies on investment attraction perfected by the province and the district plus preferential policies, the district’s industrial manufacture has reached vigorous development. The district’s infrastructure system has also got more perfect, promoting trade-service activities, creating a motivation for the local comprehensive development.

Ngo Trong Nghia, General Director of KBS Industrial Development Company-the investor of KBS Industrial Park (IP) said that KBS IP has so far absorbed 64 projects with the rate of land tenancy at 99%. The expanded KBS IP project of the phase 2 is under construction with trade-service infrastructure construction to serve laborers ‘demand for shopping and entertainment.

Upholding infrastructure advantages

North Tan Uyen district now holds an important position in the development strategy of the province in association with economic corridor from Central Highlands region to HCM city. Hence, the district has received strong investment in infrastructure, urban rejuvenation and convenient system development from the province. The district has built up a favorable infrastructure system, facilitating the local investment attraction.

Mrs.Hanh said that as planned, the district will have 5 industrial parks and 1 industrial compound with around 2,208 hectares in total after 2020. To accelerate industrial manufacture towards sustainable development, the district has focused on absorbing investors in trade-service at the local demand for development. In the coming time, streets, namely Thu Bien-Dat Cuoc, North Tan Uyen-Dat Cuoc-Bau Bang-Cong Xanh…, will create favorable conditions for trade activities of the district’s urban areas while making a good premise for the district to lure more investors.

In the next years, the district will further foster trade centers towards civilization, modernity; continue upgrading traditional markets; especially give priority to absorbing investment projects in terms of industrial, agricultural support, transportation, finance-banking. The district has also encouraged socialization of investment in markets, trade centers, and supermarkets. For the local trade-service sector reaching stable development, the district will instruct relevant sectors to strengthen market inspection; seriously handle infringements in production, transportation and trading of poor-quality commodities while cooperating with functional agencies to carry out price stabilization programs, bringing Vietnamese goods to the countryside.

Since 2016, the district has carried out socialization for the construction of Tan Thanh market with 23,000 square meters and total investment capital of more than VND70billion. The whole district is now home to 7 markets in operation, including 4 solidly-built ones, namely Tan Thanh, Dat Cuoc, Thuong Tan, Binh My.
