Over the past time, cooperative groups and cooperatives in Ben Cat town upheld their efficiency, contributing to improving the lives of the local people.

Ben Cat town now has a lot of cooperative groups with high-economic efficiency, including those of orchid cultivation in An Dien commune with the annual income of over VND350million and 10 laborers with the monthly income of VND4million-VND5million per person; girdle cake making by Nguyen Thanh Rang in Phu An commune with the annual income of more than VND300million, generating jobs for 20 laborers…

Or, a model on apricot village by Huynh Ngoc Can in An Tay commune reaches the annual income of VND2billion, creating jobs for 19 laborers. The apricot village also develops another service on tending apricot trees for households, agencies…Along with his home production, Mr.Can has actively supported many farmers on techniques to grow crops and use pesticide safely…

Facilitating collective economy’s development

Over the past time, cooperative groups and cooperatives in Ben Cat town took full advantage of the local resources to develop, contributing to realizing the local shift of economic structure in the right direction, making hunger eradication & poverty reduction and improving the lives of members.

Vo Tran Da Thao, Deputy Head of Ben Cat town’s Division of Economics said that the whole town is now home to 8 cooperative groups mainly operating in the fields of animal husbandry and cultivation with 77 members. Along with achievements done over the past time, town-based cooperative groups and cooperatives have faced shortcomings on capital, training…for change.

In the coming time, the town will speed up a task of mobilizing farmers to actively get involved in collective economic models while overseeing the implementation of support policies for collective economic development. The town will also further issue preferential policies on capital, sci-tech, consumption…for cooperative groups and cooperatives; attach special importance to training and improving managerial officials at al levels on building collective economic models, thereby contributing to the local collective economic development.
