Provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) has just launched the 2017 provincial campaign of “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas”. Upon achievements done from two other campaigns, namely “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” and “the Day for the Poor”, the campaign will further uphold all social resources towards a goal of developing Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city, better improving the spiritual and material lives of people.

The campaign of “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” has had inheritance from major results of the two campaigns “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” and “the Day for the Poor”. Noticeably, the campaign of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” has brought into full play the strength of people, contributing to successfully realizing the local targets on socio-economic development and order-security. It has also promoted the strength of the national great unity bloc, upholding people’s right to mastery via grassroots-level self-management forms and actively building a clean and strong political system.

After 20 years of implementing the campaign of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters”, the province reaped a lot of important results. The whole province now has 525 out of 586 residential areas winning the “cultural” title. Among them, there are 92 with the “cultural” title for 10 consecutive years and 158 with the title for 6 consecutive years. The campaign has also contributed to intensifying solidarity among people, helping each other in economic development and escape from poverty, improving their quality of life and building a healthy cultural environment. Also through the campaign, the local political systems at all levels have been perfected and people have also upheld their right to mastery in building a clean and strong Party and State. Many self-management models on environmental protection, crime prevention…by people have also loomed large across the province.

Sharing efforts in building new-style rural and civilized urban areas

Inheriting important outcomes from the two campaigns of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” and “the Day for the Poor”, provincial FFC has just called for people from all strata in the province to actively respond to the campaign of “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” with 5 main contents: economic development, education-healthcare, environmental protection, social order and safety, social criticism and monitoring towards a clean and strong political system.

According to Tran Thi Kim Lan, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial FFC, the campaign has had inheritance from the two campaigns of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” and “the Day for the Poor”. And it is implemented by three sides, including provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism and Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs. Provincial FFC is responsible for assigning tasks of the campaign to other mass organizations and will team up with relevant departments, sectors to share efforts to carry out the campaign.

The campaign of “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” will continue making positive changes in all aspects of residential areas. Nguyen Van Phuc, Head of Lai Thieu ward’s Binh Duc quarter 1 in Thuan An town said that with practical contents launched, the campaign will further uphold the strength of people in realizing emulation contents in the locality. “We will further propagandize and mobilize locals to seriously realize the Party’s policies and the State’s laws; call for them to uphold the spirit of “mutual love, mutual affection”, helping each other rise up in life towards building a civilized, prosperous and beautiful city…”, he added.

With important foundations from the two campaigns of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential quarters” and “the Day for the Poor”, the “All people unite to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas” campaign has created stronger and larger pervasion, upholding the strength of people in developing Binh Duong into a civilized, modern, prosperous and beautiful city.
