Planning for development
On June 26, 2012, Binh Duong provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the general planning for Binh Duong urban construction with a vision to 2030 to determine the model of urban clusters and satellite urban areas, and spatial organization. The area follows the urban form and develops evenly according to the regional strategy, which is South, North and Center. The model of urban cluster and satellite cities closely linked together on the principle of one urban area with three development strategies connected to the green corridor as a reasonable and feasible choice.
Specifically, Southern districts, towns and cities are built according to a compact, high-density urban model. In particular, Thuan An urban area holds the function of service and industry; Di An urban area holds the function of service, industry, and traffic hub. In the central urban area which is Thu Dau Mot city, the construction is according to a multi-functional, multi-center model as a service, industrial, and commercial area. The Northern area, including Tan Uyen, Bau Bang, Phu Giao, North Tan Uyen, is built according to the satellite urban model with industrial, service and tourism functions.
