Voters raise petitions on socio-economic development

Early June 22, provincial National Assembly deputy delegation had a meeting with voters in North Tan Uyen district’s Hieu Liem commune. At the meeting, representative of the delegation reported on the results of the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly.

The local voters requested functional sectors to have stronger sanctions in order to strictly handle violations such as driving after drinking alcohol; take measures to stabilize food prices in the face of rising gasoline prices that has affected people's lives; build a bridge over the Dong Nai river at the section from Hieu Liem commune to Vinh Cuu district in Dong Nai province...

On behalf of the delegation, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense received the local voters' opinions while sharing a number of issues concerned by the local voters and promising to transfer their petitions to functional agencies for timely solution.

At the meeting, Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation said that in the first 6 months of the year, with the support of ministries and central sectors, including the armed forces of the Ministry of National Defense, the province overcame the Covid-19 pandemic and reached vigorous economic recovery. The province's GRDP increased by nearly 7% while State budget collection reached nearly 60% of the whole year’s target. Currently, the province is focusing on implementing key projects, including Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III in North Tan Uyen district.

Provincial Party Committee Secretary asked for North Tan Uyen district to quickly complete the local integrated planning with focus on the planning of the transport system, including rural traffic and urban traffic. Regarding agricultural production, he asked for the district to strengthen propaganda so that people can change their thinking and make organic, clean agricultural production under VietGAP standards. He also acknowledged the local voters’ proposal of building a bridge over Vinh Cuu district and will direct provincial agencies to study this project in the coming time.

*On the same day, Tran Cong Phan and Nguyen Van Danh, members of provincial National Assembly deputy delegation had a meeting with voters in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa and Phu Tan wards after the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly.
