Work starts on memorial park for martyrs in Phu An

The Party Committee, People’s Council and Fatherland Front Committee of Phu An commune in Ben Cat town, on July 25, grandly held a get-together on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2017). Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President; leaders of Ben Cat town, Phu An commune; heroic Vietnamese mothers and martyrs’ families.

The commune now has a total of 349 policy beneficiaries enjoying monthly allowances. Over the past time, the commune also actively mobilized the local Gratitude Fund; built and upgraded gratitude houses; took care of war invalids, sick soldiers with difficult circumstances…

On this occasion, the commune also organized a groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of a memorial park for martyrs in Phu An commune with a total expense of more than VND2billion.
