Due to affects of bad weather, heavy rain and storms, some households in Dau Tieng district suffered damage to their houses. With the spirit of mutual affection, right after the bad weather event happened, Provincial Youth Union visited, encouraged and presented 12 financial supports to affected families to overcome the difficult and stabilize their lives.
To promote the role of Youth Union by assisting the youth, besides timely supports at difficult times, Provincial Youth Union also encouraged entrepreneurship spirit. For example, Võ Minh Lý in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park (Ben Cat Town) is an example of a youth working far from his hometown, received the support of Youth Unions, has risen up and started a home-based business of outsourced sewing. To energize his spirit as well as other workers, Provincial Youth Union visited and listened to Lý’s advantages and difficulties in the managing and operating process of his workshop.
Executive Committee of Provincial Youth Union also provided support to expand Ly’s model throughout the province to create job opportunities for young people. During this visit, Provincial Youth Union also gave 11 gifts to young workers, who were working at Ly’s establishment and encouraged the spirit of young people to improve their lives.
Provincial Youth Union give financial support to young people’s families having difficult circumstances in Dau Tieng district.
Di An Youth Union learned about difficult circumstances of young workers in the city, has a fund to timely support union members, workers having unfortunate events. For example, Lê Ngọc Dung, who is a student at Di An B Primary School and whose parents are poor workers, unfortunately suffered from Aplastic anemia, which is very dangerous to her life; hence her family's situation was more and more difficult. The city Youth Union promptly visited, consoled her and gave gifts to the family and 1 million VND. Additionally, in May, the Youth Union also gave 45 schoolbags to disadvantaged children of workers are staying at lodging houses in An Binh ward.
To connect lodging houses
To continue building a cultural and civilized living environment at lodging houses to improve living standards of laborers working away from their hometown, many practical activities have been carried out by Youth Union at all levels. Trần Bảo Lâm, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, appealed: “During the Workers' Month, Provincial Youth Union's held activities to show gratitude to lodging house’s owners who have made large contributions to taking care of poor workers, laborers affected by the COVID-19; we also presented a fund to support poor workers and awarded 65 baskets of law books to lodging houses in the province. On the other hand, we cooperated Binh Duong Medic General Hospital to provide free medical checks and medicine to more than 1,000 youth members, workers living in lodging houses in Di An city and Thuan An city".
To actively participate in the movement "All people build a cultural and civilized urban life", Youth Union in Thu Dau Mot City implemented some models in lodging houses. Dinh Hoa Ward Youth Union awarded a youth project "Basket of law books" to Youth Workers’ union branch of Phuong Trang lodging houses and handed over a traffic safety board presented by the city Youth Union; communicated and instruct union members and young workers to take anti-COVID measures.
In Phu Tho ward, Youth Union launched a model of "Green lodging house" at Nguyen Thi Ly Youth Workers’ union branch in Quarter 7. This was one of the series of Worker Month activities. Youth Union of Phu Tho ward wished to propagate and encouraged lodging houses’ owners to create green spaces, plant flowers around residential areas to create green and clean environment, improve life quality, and to strengthen the connection between workers and Binh Duong land, people.
