Workshop of empowerment and enhancement of economic, social position of female migrant workers in Binh Duong and Dong Nai province

Morning March 27th, Marie Stopes International Vietnam (MSIVN) organized a workshop of project “Empowerment and enhancement of economic, social position of female migrant workers through increased access to reproductive healthcare services of Binh Duong and Dong Nai province”.

After 2 years of implementation, the project has developed guiding framework to combine reproductive healthcare’s contents with Corporate Social Responsibility policies. This model was piloted at 9 factories in Binh Duong and Dong Nai province.

Specifically, in the last year, MSIVN organized health festivals including 7 reproductive health booths to propagate Labor Code and gender equality, attracting 10,808 workers; mobile reproductive health check for 7,181 female workers.

On behalf of provincial Projects Management Board, Mr. Tu Tan Thu under provincial Department of Health reviewed training activities of the project, including: CSR training, medical staff training, workers’ health festivals, educational peers training…

On this occasion, representatives of MSIVN honored individuals contributing to the project, and awarded certificates of merit to 9 educational peer groups from factories in Binh Duong, Dong Nai.
