Young people joining hands in building flexible, friendly public administration

TDM city’s People’s Committee has just been awarded the certificate of merit of the Ministry of Home Affairs for its excellent performance in State administrative reform between 2011 and 2020. The success also came from the efforts by youth volunteers at the city’s Public Administrative Center. They were very enthusiastic in supporting people and enterprises to deal with administrative procedures over the past time.

Le Thi Thanh Loan, Director of TDM city’s Public Administrative Center said that the center has coordinated with the city’s Youth Union to carry out a program on “Youth volunteers joining hands in building flexible, professional, modern and friendly administration”  since November 2019.

The program has supported people, enterprises to easily get access to IT equipment and other support services in the process of making transactions on public administrative procedures. Through the program, the center has created a favorable environment for students from city-based universities, colleges to uphold their voluntary spirit in learning and working for flexible public administration.

Particularly, these youth volunteers are responsible for guiding people, enterprises to use IT equipment to seek public administrative procedures, results from information kiosks and guide them to use other optimal services at the center…They have also contributed to realizing workplace culture at the center from clothes, working manner…

As one of active volunteers at the center, Tran Thi My Tuong, the third-year student of Thu Dau Mot University said that participating in voluntary activities at the center has not only helped young people uphold their voluntary spirit, but also supported people and the city’s People’s Committee in reforming administrative procedures. This task has also helped her get more knowledge and experience to be able to get acquainted with working environment after graduation.

Mrs.Loan added that youth volunteers have played their role as a bridge between organizations, citizens and State administrative agencies, contributing to building up modern, flexible and friendly administration. They have given initial support for organizations, citizens in perfecting administrative procedures; been proactive to exchange and guide organizations, individuals to realize administrative procedures…, thereby contributing to promoting activities of the center. The program has also created a favorable environment for them to apply their knowledge in order to have necessary skills for their jobs in the future…
