“Zero dong” mini supermarket for the poor

On the morning of July 11, the People's Committee of Thanh Phuoc ward in Tan Uyen town held a "Zero dong” mini-super market in response to the call of the town’s Fatherland Front Committee in joining hands to help and support locals for Covid-19 prevention and control.

The charity supermarket is held at Thanh Phuoc Primary School for 2 days. The supermarket has more than 50 essential items, including sugar, milk, rice, eggs, cooking oil, fish sauce, soy sauce, instant noodles, fish, vegetables, fruits... It is known that all essential items at the supermarket are funded by organizations, businesses and individuals in and out of the ward.

Around 300 households with difficult circumstances and workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the ward will receive vouchers worth VND 300,000 each. The supermarket opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. Each household rotates to shop at different time frames to ensure that there are not many people at the same time.

On this occasion, the town’s Fatherland Front Committee also gave the organizers of the program 300 environmental protection bags and 1,000 gloves so that locals can do well Covid-19 prevention and control when going to the supermarket.
