Industrial production eyed proactive recovery

According to data from Binh Duong provincial Statistics Office, some industries show signs of recovery. This is reflected in the production index for the first 3 months of 2021. Accordingly, the industrial production index of the whole industry in March was estimated to increase by 36.76% over the previous month and 6.66% over the same period. In which, the manufacturing increased by 37.3% over the previous month and by 6.95% over the same period; production and distribution of gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning increased by 27.94% and 4.08% respectively over the same period; water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment increased by 8.9% and 7.81% respectively over the same period. Generally for the first 3 months of 2021, the industrial production index of the whole industry in the province increased by 6.89% year on year.

Currently, more than 8,500 industrial enterprises in the province are accounted for 26.4% of FDI enterprises and 63.3% of the value of industrial production in the area; the export revenue of FDI enterprises is accounted for over 82% of the total export turnover.
