Over 7,000 trade fraud cases detected

Early February 26, Thuan An city’s People’s Committee held a conference to sum up the local fight against smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods in 2019, extend tasks, orientations for 2020.

According to the assessment of the city’s Steering Board 389, there is still the complicated development of smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods. The local functional agencies last year detected and handled 7,159 wrong cases, up 4,658 compared to 2018, with total fine of more than VND46billion, a year-on-year increase of 116%.

On this occasion, Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to outstanding collectives, individuals in the local fight against smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods.
