1,050 outstanding families, individuals in blood donation honored

Early June 14, provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation held the 7^th  conference honoring outstanding blood donors 2016, in attendance of Le Hoang Oanh, Deputy Director of the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology-Blood Transfusion Center.

Reportedly, the whole province this year has a total of 1,050 families and individuals with 5 times of blood donation and above. The Steering Board has also awarded bronze glasses to 687 people with 5 times of blood donation, silver glasses to 170 with 10 times of blood donation, gold glasses to 50 with 15 times of blood donation; bronze cups to 32 families with 5 times of blood donation, silver cups to 25 with 10 times of blood donation and gold cups to 12 with 15 times of blood donation. Provincial People’s Committee also presented the certificates of merit to 35 individuals and 16 families with 20 times of blood donation while 11 other individuals and families with 30 times of blood donation and above were awarded the certificates of merit of the National Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation. 

Speaking at the conference, along with mentioning the importance of blood, Mr.Oanh hoped that the province’s voluntary blood donation campaign will continue developing and absorb more and more participants…
