Voluntary blood donation, a noble deed honored by the society

The province’s voluntary blood donation campaign has attracted the participation of people from all strata with stronger and stronger pervasion. Many individuals and families have actively taken part in the campaign. And they deserve to be honored by the society.

Voluntary donation is a noble deed imbrued with humanity, showing love and compassion between human beings and human beings of the Vietnamese nation.

The province’s voluntary blood donation campaign has absorbed more and more participants

For better results, provincial Red Cross Society has advised provincial people’s Committee on promulgating the annual Directive on propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation among locals. Tran Thi Lien, Chairwoman of provincial Red Cross Society said that the amount of blood received by the province has always got and even surpassed the set target, but it has not met the local real demand yet, especially on the annual Tet (Lunar New Year) festival and during the summer months. Hence, the society has stepped up voluntary blood donation activities via the campaigns of “Pink spring festival”, “Summer pink drops of blood”…

Provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has also attached special importance to taking care of blood donors and bracing up them. Many outstanding collectives and individuals in the local voluntary blood donation campaign over the past time were honored opportunely. This year, the Steering Board has honored 1,050 families and individuals with 5 times of voluntary blood donation and above.

Over the past time, there were a lot of outstanding families and individuals in the local voluntary blood donation campaign. They include the family of Le Thi Ai in Ben Cat town’s My Phuoc ward; Lam Hoang Minh, Head of provincial Red Cross Society’s Healthcare Department; Tran Tan Phong, Head of provincial Red Cross’s Office; Nguyen Minh Tam, Secretary of Hiep Thanh ward’s Youth Union in TDM city…As of now, Mr. Phong has given blood 48 times. He has also actively mobilized many other people to take part in the campaign, bringing lives to those who are in need of blood for medical treatment…

Mrs.Lien said: “We have always respected noble deeds, kind hearts of more than 90,000 blood donors as yet. They are active factors with contributions to the local task of public healthcare. We also hope that they will be outstanding propagandists in the local voluntary blood donation campaign. Provincial Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation has called for all people, agencies and sectors in the province to actively take part in the campaign in order to reach and exceed the 2016 targets set by provincial People’s Committee and the National Steering Board of Voluntary Blood Donation”.
