2014 contest for rubber latex tappers opened

On Dec. 14, Vietnam Rubber Corporation held the 2014 contest for rubber latex tappers at Tan Hung Rubber Plantation under Phuoc Hoa Rubber JSC. Attending the contest were 211 contestants representing more than 110,000 workers tapping rubber latex under companies and 4 teams from rubber companies located at Laos and Cambodia.
Addressing the ceremony, Tran Thanh Liem, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the contest is to help rubber plantations find out excellent tappers to train them into nuclear factors at the grassroot levels. This helps to improve labor capacity and improve income for laborers, contributing to assist rubber companies to overcome difficulties of latex price plunge.
