Early Dec.5, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society teamed up with the HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the 4th voluntary blood donation program of 2012.

The program absorbed the participation of 300 people who are cadres, civil servants, members of the district’s Red Cross Society, militiamen, Youth Union members and people across the district. As a result, 260 units of blood, equivalent to nearly 78,000mln of blood were collected.

Since early this year, the district’s Red Cross Society has organized 4 voluntary blood donation programs with 840 units of blood donated, exceeding 140% of the projection.
