The Vietnamese Journalist’s Association just announced program of the 9th Vietnamese Journalists Congress to be held on Aug. 10-12 at Ha Noi.

The congress will assess press activities and reviewed the association’s activities in the past years as well honor typical examples and set out orientations and tasks for the next term.

According to the association chairman Dinh The Huynh, the press law and protection of journalists will be considered at the congress.

The congress will lure the participation of 406 delegates, 61 of whom are women. At present, the association has had 17,763 members.
