With an aspiration of creating useful activities for the society, the southeastern region’s outstanding youths who were praised in 2007 decided to establish a club for outstanding youths. Although only having 20 members, the club has so far made a lot of significant activities for sake of public welfare.
The club made the first charity program in Dau Tieng district’s Long Tan commune. Here, members of the club had a successful get-together with youths and children in the Long Tan Rubber Plantation.
Many other exchange programs were also made in Ben Cat district’s Phu An commune and Binh Duong University. In addition to presenting textbooks and notebooks to poor-but-excellent pupils, members of the club joined in hands with the local youths to work out youth works. With such meaningful activities, the club was officially launched on October 15, 2009.
So far, the club has organized five exchange programs, which left good imprints among the community. Its greatest exchange program was held in Phu Giao district’s three communes of An Linh, Phuoc Sang and An Binh on July 24. Along with art performance, the club teamed up with the local youths to work out youth works; donated gifts to 30 poor-but-excellent pupils and 20 policy beneficiary families in An Linh commune, offered 5 scholarships worth VND500,000 each, textbooks, notebooks for needy pupils with a total cost of VND10mln.
The club will also mobilize donors to build a compassionate house worth VND25mln for a poor households in Dau Tieng district in response to the “Khi dat nuoc can” (When the nation needs) campaign launched by the Vietnam Youth Federation.
Nguyen Phan Thai Anh, head of the club said that the club over time received support from units. Some donors also gave contributions to the club’s charity activities. In the coming time, the club will further perfect its working regulations, absorb more members in many different fields and create activities with its own special features…
