500 excellent volunteers in Covid-19 fight honored

*Thuan An’s Youth Union summarizes Covid-19 prevention-control and youth volunteer festival

Early December 26, provincial Steering Board of the Youth Volunteer Squad for quick response to support Covid-19 prevention and control held a ceremony to honor young volunteers with outstanding achievements in the local Covid-19 fight.

During the last Covid-19 outbreak, Binh Duong had 3,600 young volunteers to participate in the local Covid-19 fight with many activities such as supporting Covid-19 testing, screening in community, supporting field hospitals, providing transportation and distribution of necessities...With the slogan of "Binh Duong youth - resilient against pandemic", the province's youth have affirmed their voluntary spirit and aspiration of dedication. On this occasion, the Steering Board awarded the certificates of merit to 500 volunteers with outstanding achievements in the local Covid-19 fight.

*On the morning of the same day, Thuan An city’s Youth Union partially reviewed Covid-19 prevention-control and the 2021 Youth Volunteer Festival.

During the last Covid-19 pandemic, the city’s Youth Union established city-level youth volunteer squads for Covid-19 prevention-control with 1,892 volunteers. The Youth Union also organized many practical projects and models associated with Covid-19 prevention and control such as “giving strength to frontline anti-Covid-19 forces”; “Love Meal”…; visiting, encouraging and offering gifts to frontline forces, paying gift visits to  people, young workers affected by the pandemic...

On this occasion, Thuan An city’s People's Committee rewarded 480 typical volunteers in the local Covid-19 prevention and control.
