At the meeting, female officials and members tracked back history and tradition of Vietnamese women through stages.

Promoting the tradition, Ben Cat district Women Union has made many significant deeds such as the mobilization of “Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples”, raised 575 piggy banks and set up 57 saving books worth over VND240mil.

In response to the mobilization of building charity houses for poor women, the union has built 9 charity houses worth VND417mil for needy sisters.

On the occasion, participants learnt about a special subject on 4 virtuous characters – confidence, respectability, loyalty and responsibility - for Vietnamese women in the industrialization and modernization process.

Also the same day, Tan Uyen district Women Union organized a 2012 contest entitled “Charming female cadres” with the participation of 44 contestants from 22 communes, townships.
