According to the local spatial orientation for industrial development from now to 2030, Binh Duong province has planned about 18,500 hectares of industrial urban land and needs about 18,000 - 20,000 hectares for urban and service development along belt roads, expressways to form up an economic corridor for the whole region.

As planned, the province’s central area, including Thu Dau Mot city, Tan Uyen city, Ben Cat city and Bau Bang district, will function as a smart urban area, focusing on developing the new-generation industrial, urban and service model. The central area will be the growth pole, the driving force for development of the province, with the nucleus being the formation of concentrated industrial and information technology parks, gradually forming up the province's science and technology park, determining the development model for the fields of health, culture, education, trade and high-quality services.
