Action Month for Children 2016 launched in Di An, Ben Cat and Dau Tieng

Early May 31, Di An town’s Steering Board of Teenagers and Children’s Activities held a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Children 2016 and open the summer vacation activities 2016. More than 400 local pupils attended the ceremony.

During the summer vacation, the Steering Board will concretize programs taking care of children, make traditional education among them, implement  a program named “Lighting up dreams of young people in Di An”, diversify volunteer activities for the sake of the community, organize return-to-root trips…

*The same day, Ben Cat town’s Steering Board of Teenagers-Children’s Activities launched the Action Month for Children 2016 and opened the summer vacation activities 2016.

This year’s Action Month for Children with the theme of “For safe lives, preventing accidents, and injuries for children” aims to raise people’s awareness of preventing any child accident and injury and calls for better care for children.

On this occasion, Ben Cat town also awarded 40 scholarships worth VND9mln to good pupils and those with extremely difficult circumstances.

*Also on the morning of May 31, Dau Tieng district’s Steering Board of Teenagers-Children’s Activities organized a ceremony to launch the Action Month for Children 2016 and open the summer vacation activities 2016. Attending the ceremony were 200 pupils from district-based schools.

Accordingly, the Steering Board will organize five main activities on propaganda-education, learning, career orientation, living skills, culture-arts…

At the ceremony, the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also awarded 55 gifts worth nearly VND10mln to children with extremely difficult circumstances and those making contributions to movements in Long Tan commune.
