Additional 1,024 Tet gifts for blind and poor people

Under the 2014 program “Tet for the Poor”, provincial Red Cross Society has just teamed up with provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board and members of the Volunteers’Club under the society to visit and present 1,024 Tet gifts to members of provincial Blind People Associations at all levels, policy beneficiary and poor households and Agent Orange victims across the province.

Accordingly, the delegation presented 54, 140, 153, 170, 57, 186 and 64 Tet gifts to members of the Blind People Associations of Di An, Thuan An, Thu Dau Mot, Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Dau Tieng, respectively; gave 100 Tet gifts for policy beneficiary and poor households, Agent Orange victims in Tan My commune and 100 Tet gifts for poor people in Tan Uyen district’s Lac An commune. It is known that each Tet gift is worth VND450,000, including rice, noodle, sugar, cooking oil, soya sauce, soft drink, confectionary and cash.

The above gifts were funded by Nhan Nghia Co.Ltd.; Minh Long I Porclain Co.Ltd.; Cuong Phat Co.Ltd.; Toan Phat Co.Ltd.; Dai Thanh Transport Cooperative in HCM city; Buddhist nun Thich nu Phap Nhu, Head of provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Charity Board; superior Buddhist monk Thich Hue Thong, Head of Chau Thoi pagoda in Di An town and some donors at An Lac market in HCM city’s Binh Tan district.
