2011 is the year bearing an important meaning for youths nationwide as it is selected as the Year of Youth by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee. This is a great pride of youths and is also the chance for the HCYU to speed up patriotic emulation movements, the work of unitizing, gathering and educating young generations. Along with youths nationwide, youths in Binh Duong province are preparing to commemorate the 80th founding anniversary of the HCYU.

As planned, provincial HCYU will launch a contest named “80 year-glorious tradition of the HCYU”; inaugurate 5 places to disseminate knowledge about sci-tech and access internet for youths; realize two programs named “When I’m 18 years old”, “Reunion Day”…among other celebrations.

The affiliates of provincial HCYU will also get animated with activities celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the HCYU. Particularly, TDM town’s HCYU will organize a contest for outstanding youth union officials; implement the campaign of “Sentimental attachment for the border and island region”; visit and present gifts to the Border Post 500, policy beneficiary families and needy youth union officials in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s Long Dien district; organize a contest for groups singing revolutionary songs…

Meanwhile, in Thuan An town, youths’ cultural-sport activities in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the HCYU will take place during March. Especially, Thuan An town’s HCYU will admit additional 500 members, set up 16 sub-unions for youths at lodging facilities and young workers away from home, build and hand over 2 compassion houses to 2 needy members in An Thanh, An Phu wards.

Youths in Di An town will also get animated with a series of celebrations themed creativeness. The birth of the club “For the future owner” is seen as an event awaited by almost teenagers and children across the town. This club will offer more help to their growth.

With animated activities from province to districts, towns, Binh Duong’s program commemorating the 80th founding anniversary of the HCYU will bring substantial meanings and mobilize all walks of life towards the historical event of youths nationwide.
