It has been 3 years from the first time of organization, Bach Dang flower street has become spiritual gifts to local people and others from outside the province as Tet comes.For this year, with the dramatic changes, Bach Dang flower street should become an interesting destination for springtime visitors. Contractors are hustling to complete the work of Bach Dang flower street Bach Dang flower street 2014 under the theme of “Binh Duong – brilliant in springtime” with various of art works along the Bach Dang Street on the Saigon River bank of Phu Cuong Ward in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province is promising to attract viewers.Under the plan, the 330 meter long street shall be divided into two areas. The main area shall include mini decoration scenes along the pavement depicting the Tet holiday of the land and the people mingling in goods stallsWith sophisticated cultural value, the decorations reflect appearance and practice of the former Thu Dau Mot land and now Binh Duong Province.The decoration, specially, include the depiction of land towards islands of Vietnam showing the spirit of Binh Duong People heading for the border lands of the people. The remaining section of the flower street shall be other eye-catching decorations to the visitors. Notably, the Lai Thieu orchard is remade in the decorations to uphold success of the previous festival of seasonal ripe fruits. Meantime, the event shall open up opportunities for propaganda for next year’s organization. Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Le Huu Phuoc said that this year’s flower street bears the cultural values of the land while showing the sentiments of Binh Duong people towards the sea and islands of Vietnam and determination of the Party Committee and authority in building up more civilized and beautiful province.Concurrently, the event is to introduce traditional cultural value of Vietnamese in Tet through activities of calligraphy and introducing folklore works and Lai Thieu orchard.It can be put that Bach Dang flower street should become a cultural symbol of brilliant and harmonious beauty of a homeland, of Binh Duong people in particular and Vietnamese in general as integral part of Tet holiday.Being completed before January 28, Bach Dang flower street is invested with VND 3.6 billion and shall be put into use by January 29 to offer ideal sightseeing place for visitors during Tet.Reported by Binh Minh – Translated by Vi Bao
