Efforts to stabilize residents’lives
Loc Trung Nghia, vice-chairman of Hoa Phu ward’s People’s Committee said that right after being put into operation on Jan.1, 2010, Hoa Phu ward has focused on stabilizing the lives of the local residents. Particularly, the ward has helped the local residents to get access to loans for economic development; teamed up with the Management Board of the Binh Duong Industry-Service-Urban complex to give vocational training to the local residents and offered jobs for them; created favorable conditions for the offspring of the local people to attend the Mien Dong International University…
As a result, tens of residents in the newly-established ward have got stable jobs and the number of trade-service establishments herein has also amounted to more than 330. The local residents have gradually become familiar with the new lifestyle and the income of each household herein has also seen stabilization…
According to Le Thanh Long, chairman of Phu Tan ward People’s Committee, the ward has made a survey on labor structure in order to have concrete plans to help the local residents to get jobs or loans for economic development. The ward has also cooperated with the town’s functional agencies to strengthen patrols and punishments to breaches of traffic and other evil socials. Consequently, the situation of illegal motorbike racing and stealing…herein saw reduction over the past time, contributed to maintaining social order and security.
Making favorable conditions for growth
Mr.Long said that Phu Tan ward will further give priority to stabilizing and raising the lives of the local residents. In addition to effectively realizing the current measures, it will bend on encouraging, making favorable conditions for investors and people from all walks of life to promote economic development in all fields, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.
For its targets for the next five years, Hoa Phu ward will strive to fulfill the set target of reducing poor households under the new poverty line; further have close cooperation with the Management Board of the Binh Duong Industry-Service-Urban Complex and the town’s functional agencies to give vocational training and jobs to the local laborers, contributing to helping them stabilize their lives.
The targets set out by Phu Tan and Hoa Phu wards for the next five years are to promote economic development under the industrial-service-trade structure, in association with investment and planning for the development of the complex, the town and the south key economic zone to absorb advanced industries; promote the development of hi-quality services and form up the modern cities of class II.
