Ben Cat, Thuan An, TDM hold get-togethers to mark 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day

Early July 26, Ben Cat town’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee grandly organized a get-together on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day. Attending the event were Nguyen Minh Triet, former State President and Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

The town now has a total of 4,934 revolutionary contributors. Over the past time, the town’s Party, government and people made efforts in taking care of the material and spiritual lives of heroic Vietnamese mothers, war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs’ families and revolutionary contributors. Since 2012, the town has built and upgraded 196 gratitude houses; collected and buried 83 sets of martyrs’ remains at the local Martyrs’ Cemetery…

At the get-together, the town also posthumously bestowed the “heroic Vietnamese mother” title on 14 women; honored 24 individuals and families winning the “Exemplary revolutionary family” and “Model citizen” titles.

*A get-together to mark the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947-July 27, 2017) was held at Thuan An town’s Military Command on the morning of July 26. Attending the event were Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with more than 100 delegates, including heroic Vietnamese mothers, revolutionary contributors, policy beneficiary families and leaders of the town over periods.

At the get-together, Nguyen Van Chau, Vice-Secretary of the town’s Party Committee, Chairman of the town’s People’s Committee reviewed the tradition and significance of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day as well as the local activities of paying debt of gratitude over the past time.

On this occasion, the town posthumously bestowed the “heroic Vietnamese mother” title on 4 women, bringing the total number of heroic Vietnamese mothers to 215. The town’s People’s Committee also honored 100 individuals and households winning the “Exemplary revolutionary family” and “Model citizen” titles; 12 individuals and 25 collectives with contributions to the local movement of paying debt of gratitude” over the past time.

*On the morning of the same day, TDM city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee grandly held a get-together on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee.

The whole city is now home to more than 2,323 policy beneficiaries, comprising of 332 martyrs, 690 war invalids, 324 heroic Vietnamese mothers…Over the past time, the city paid special attention to “paying debt of gratitude” activities such as visiting, presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries on Tet and great holidays, mobilizing individuals, organizations to offer help to wounded soldiers, maintain heroic Vietnamese mothers…

On this occasion, the city’s People’s Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 36 collectives and 28 individuals with excellent achievements in the local movement of paying debt of gratitude; presented the “Exemplary revolutionary family” and “Model citizen” titles to 42 individuals and collectives while recognizing 14 wards as ones well realizing a task of taking care of war invalids and martyrs.
