Binh Duong leadership to meet with consuls general and foreign agencies

On Jan 29, Binh Duong province Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting between provincial leaders with foreign agencies and representatives of domestic, foreign enterprises at Becamex Hotel on occasion of Lunar New Year 2016. Tran Van Nam, Member of Party Central Committee, provincial Party Secretary; Tran Thanh Liem, provincial Party Deputy Secretary; Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Huynh Van Nhi, Chairman of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Liem said, in 2015, Binh Duong maintained high and stable growth rate. GDP increased by 13.2%; economic structure continued to shift with the corresponding percentage: Industrial 60% - services 37.3% - agriculture 2.7%. Per capita income reached 73.1 million VND / person / year. Socio-economic infrastructure was synchronously upgraded to meet the requirements of socio-economic development. The province attracted nearly $3 billion of FDI capital, and has now totally 2,557 FDI projects of 41 countries and territories around the world with a total capital of over $23.6 million.

Mr. Liem said, consul general and foreign trade offices in HCMC, Vietnamese representative offices overseas, HCMC Department of Foreign Affairs... had supported Binh Duong province in introducing, provide information for foreign investors, facilitating meeting, knowing each other for investment cooperation. Chairman Tran Thanh Liem hoped that Binh Duong would continue to receive attention and supports in the future.
