Binh Duong responds to World Environment Day

Early June 6, Binh Duong province held a meeting to mark World Environment Day 2011 with the theme “Forest: Value of life from nature” in the Binh Duong new city.

Addressing the meeting, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Tran Van Nam affirmed that environmental protection is one of the decisive factors for the country’s stable development. And forestry protection is the most important thing. It is hoped that every one will make contributions to preserving and building a green-clean and nice living environment.

Many impressive activities were also organized during the event, in association with the announcement of the list of 32 businesses recognized as “green” ones under the criteria issued by provincial People’s People at Decision No.03/2011/QD-UBND; a parade with 27 trucks decorated with flowers to encourage the protection of the living environment.

At the meeting, provincial leaders also planted souvenir trees in the Binh Duong new city and opened the Binh Duong new city football tournament 2011-Becamex IDC Cup 2011…
