What are the main activities of this year’s summer youth voluntary campaign?

This year’s summer youth voluntary campaign will take place from June 1 to August 30 with the theme of “Binh Duong’s youth participating in the construction of urban civilization and rural culture”.

The campaign will focus on four main programs, including “Urban civilization”, “Green environment”, “Giving strength in exam season” and “Giving strength to pupils”. Particularly, the local youth will get involved in upgrading rural traffic works, schools, classes; building houses of compassion; offering help to the offspring of workers with difficulties; making environmental hygiene and many other social welfare activities

The province’s volunteer youth squads will make many significant activities in the remote areas of Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Dac Lac…during the campaign.

It is known that some youth voluntary squads will take part in international volunteer activities. Could you tell us about this?

This year’s campaign will make international voluntary activities in Laos and Cambodia, especially Laos’Champasac province. It is expected that Youth Union members of Dau Tieng-Viet Lao Rubber Joint Stock Co. will be a main force for voluntary activities in Laos. Provincial Steering Board will also send a delegation to Laos to join hands to realize voluntary activities herein while collecting information for the 2014 international voluntary campaign with higher size and efficiency.
