Binh Duong Smart City Conference 2017 well prepared

In the past time, Binh Duong has focused on promoting smart city construction. Many seminars and conferences have been organized by the province. From November 25 to 27, the 2nd Binh Duong City Smart City Conference will be held in Binh Duong New City. On this occasion, Binh Duong correspondent had an interview with Mai Hung Dung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Binh Duong Smart City Executive Board.

Reporter: Provincial People’s Committee has just issued plan on organizing the 2^nd Binh Duong Smart City Conference November 25-27. Please let us informed of the purposes and meaning of this time conference.

In 2016, the first smart city conference held in Binh Duong has created a great resonance with more than 700 guests joining the plenary conference and more than 200 guests participating in the exhibition with 24 booths including 5 successive speeches by international speakers. Following that, in implementing the guideline of the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 4728/KH-UBND on organizing Binh Duong Smart City Conference 2017. The conference aims to introduce the vision, direction and process of starting the Binh Duong Smart City project, contributing to the sustainable development of the province. At the same time, it facilitates the discussion and sharing of comments from leaders and experts in the world on the vision, strategy and action plan of smart cities around the world while comparing and proposing practical ideas for the case of Binh Duong in the coming time.

The conference shall include a wide range of activities, aiming at a number of subjects, thereby raising the awareness, support and active participation of people, communities, agencies, sectors, academics, and students to promote the State-school-enterprise cooperation, linking international and neighboring cooperation and jointly deploying the construction of Binh Duong Smart City.

Reporter: What events shall be included in Smarty City Conference and in what contents, sir?

The conference shall include 5 major plenary events of Binh Duong Smart City, scientific seminar, enterprise seminar, Hackasthon contest and the exhibition.

At the plenary conference on Binh Duong Smart City, leaders of the province and representatives of Eindhoven (Netherlands), representatives of the Dutch Consulate in Vietnam, and experts shall be speaking about smart city topics directly related to Binh Duong. Relevant contents such as developing policies and digital infrastructure towards building green buildings, people's participation in smart city construction, knowledge sharing about the development of smart cities around the world among others. According to plan, the conference will take place on November 27 at the Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

Business seminar includes topics related to ideas, projects, and contributions of enterprises in the construction of smart city in Binh Duong. The seminar took place on November 27th at the Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center. In terms of scientific conferences, the contents are the scientific-based contributing to the smart city development of Binh Duong, where topics related to data link and open are of prime concern, such as the role of data in smart development; developing policies and strategies in the open data trend ... The workshop will take place at 13:30 on November 27, at the Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

For the Hackathon competition, the theme of the competition is to design state management applications for Binh Duong (on mobile or web) in areas that meet the current requirements of the province. As for smart city exhibition program, the exhibition is divided into two areas, including the area for technological enterprises and he area for innovative ideas. The exhibition will take place in three days from November 25 to 27 at the Provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

Up to date, the preparatory work for the conference from agenda to the contents of the seminars and contests, the list of speakers and guests, the reception and arrangement of meals etc. have been basically ready. The provincial People's Committee has directed and assigned departments, branches, unions, units and localities to closely coordinate to ensure the success of the conference.

Starting from November 14, invitations will be sent to the delegates attending the Binh Duong Smart City Conference 2017. Particularly for communication, information dissemination and awareness of the public, the People's Committee will hold a press conference twice; the first is expected from November 20 to 23 and the second at 9 pm on November 27 to introduce website and the Binh Duong Smart City Conference 2017 at binhduongSmartCity.vn.
